Nellie accepted Henry Amos (Harry) Nott's marriage proposal before he left for Canada - after the 1901 census. When he wrote and asked her to come to Canada in 1907, she bought passage on a Salvation Army ship, landed in New York and took the train to the border crossing into Canada at Snowflake, Manitoba. They married right there on June 22, 1907 at Snowflake, Manitoba, Canada.
Harry, Nellie and children lived in Expanse Saskatchewan until about 1921 (census has them in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan), when they moved to Victoria and lived on Discovery Island for a few years. Eventually they moved into Victoria proper, lived on Gerda Rd, then Helmcken Rd.
Nellie died in Royal Jubilee Hospital on January 18, 1955 at the age of 73 and was buried on January 21st.
